it's time that i was going

i'm going away soon, so my goal is to be up to date within 24 hours.

Look! Kids in sunglasses, Maggie busking, Nick going away forever (or a year and a half), the sun shining through my back door, and a little sunset drive.

it was a last hurrah

people look like they are hiking up mountains when they are hiking up mountains, and that is as it should be.
(or to lakes, for that matter)
(whenever maggie leslie is in boulder is a good time to be in boulder)
(i got fun blisters this weekend)
(i almost took a picture of a squirrel leaping over the abyss)

Maybe we should not go back the way we came.

Snow is so good in early October.

Writing about grammatical relations in Turkana may not be as good as writing poetry, but i do a lot more of it these days.
